THE NEED TO COPE WITH
MULTITASKING ON A DAILY BASE Not everyone is a born multitasker
- multitasking is the execution of two or more tasks at the same time or alternately in short periods of time.
- tasks are independent of each other -> e.g. the goal of one task is not dependent on the results of the other task
- improvement in multitasking may lead to better stress coping behavior
Efficacy Clinical Study Results
A double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical study including 132 healthy adults aged 35-65 years demonstrated that both a single dose and a 29 day supplementation of cognitaven® resulted in improvements in cognitive function. During the study different doses of cognitaven® or placebo were given and cognitive performance, mood and stress were measured. It is noteworthy that cognitaven® showed significant positive effects in multitasking settings which could be conceived as mirroring the cognitive demands of numerous everyday situations.
It is recommended to use 430 mg or 1290 mg cognitaven® per day. Especially for stress and acute intake, the higher dosage (1290 mg daily dosage) should be considered whereas for long term intake 430 mg cognitaven® showed significant effects with regard to cognitive performance (working memory and multitasking).
Mode of Action
Investigations on cognitaven® on two test systems namely phospodiesterase 4 (PDE-4) and monoamine oxidase B (MAO-B) showed an inhibitory effect on both enzymes. Those enzymes play a crucial role in cognition.

Stay healthy and improve your cognitive performance
There are many factors that can affect cognitive performance. Some general strategies that may help improve cognitive performance include:
- Getting enough sleep: Adequate sleep is essential for maintaining cognitive function, as it allows the brain to rest.
- Staying hydrated: Dehydration can negatively impact cognitive performance, so it is important to drink enough water throughout the day.
- Eating a healthy, balanced diet: A diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and proteins can provide the nutrients the brain needs to function optimally.
- Engaging in physical activity: Regular physical activity has been linked to improved cognitive function and can help improve mood and reduce stress.
- Reducing stress: Chronic stress can have negative effects on cognitive function, so it is important to find ways to manage stress, such as through relaxation techniques like deep breathing or meditation.
- Learning new things: Engaging in activities that challenge the brain, such as learning a new skill or language, can help improve cognitive function.
